Overview
When we first engaged with this emerging brand, they were a small but passionate startup with a strong product idea and a clear mission. At the time, they offered just five SKUs, generated an estimated $250K in topline revenue, and maintained limited distribution through local independent retailers. Despite strong consumer feedback and a differentiated product, the brand faced typical early-stage challenges—limited working capital, a lack of retail experience, and no clear roadmap for scaling sustainably. Their founders were ambitious and ready to grow but needed strategic guidance, investor readiness, and access to the right partners to transition from a promising startup to a nationally recognized brand.
Our Approach
Over the course of three years, Six60 became a hands-on strategic partner, working side by side with the founders to lay the groundwork for long-term growth. Our first step was to build a solid financial and operational foundation, securing over $5MM in investment funding from aligned partners who shared the brand’s vision. With capital in place, we developed a national retail growth strategy that focused on distribution expansion, category positioning, and sustainable pricing structures.
We successfully secured national distribution with Whole Foods, one of the brand’s most significant milestones, and established broker representation across key U.S. regions to accelerate placement in other major accounts. At the same time, we crafted a comprehensive omnichannel availability strategy, ensuring the brand reached consumers seamlessly through both physical and digital retail. To support this growth, Six60 sourced and hired five key team members across sales, marketing, and operations—building the internal expertise required to sustain rapid expansion. Finally, we developed a complete brand book and activation strategy, creating a unified voice and visual identity across packaging, retail merchandising, and digital presence, ensuring every consumer touchpoint reinforced the brand’s core story.
Results
Today, the company stands as a model of startup transformation. With products now available in over 4,000 retail doors nationwide, the brand is projected to surpass $12MM in annual revenue for 2024, representing a nearly 50x growth from its early days. Beyond financial success, the company now operates with a clear strategic direction, a strong leadership team, and a national footprint that continues to expand quarter over quarter. What began as a small local business has evolved into a fast-growing, investor-backed, and nationally distributed consumer brand, poised for continued category leadership.
